Warning received re the app “Monkey”, which is billed as a cross between Omegle and TikTok.

 There are some concerns over the nature of this app and how it might be used to exploit children.

 The Ineqe ‘online safety experts have been alerted to an extremely dangerous website and app called ‘Monkey’, which allows users to have video calls with strangers. The platform markets itself as ‘an alternative to Omegle, with a TikTok vibe’’.

 Ineqe have reviewed and tested this platform and have found that it contains large amounts of inappropriate, disturbing, and harmful content transmitted via web cameras.

There are lots of great apps and online games for children but unfortunately there are also a lot of violent and unsuitable games available. Always check if a game is suitable for your child. look at the age guide and play the game yourself so you know what the content contains.
